images that might inform my project

refining process

I am beginning to develop my process. In order to reflect Tschumi's ideas in the word map I will refine my descriptive word choices, and follow through by reflecting the meaning of the word and its connections to other words through manipulation of the maps using the tools allowed in photoshop in an abstract, metaphorical way. Tschumi's ideas will inform me further about how to transform the word maps in a way that communicates my interpretation of his theories. Thus far I have been using the following photoshop tools, most often to least often, respectively: free transform, warp, perspective, skew distort, rotate, scale.

process update

I am interested in Bernard Tschumi's ideas about the disjunction between theory and practice in architecture. In this project I am attempting to communicate my understanding of his theories and how those contrast with his physical attributes through linear drawings. In the word map I am more focused on his theories and in the drawings more so on his physical attributes but both overlap. The word map is an exploration of how I can represent Tschumi's ideas of defamiliarization, destructuring, superimposition and cross programming. His physical appearance seems subtle, calm, kind, and pensive.
